Lisa Farrar is an experienced senior executive, leading teams to achieve vision and strategy primarily in the higher education, not- for-profit and government sectors. Lisa’s leadership style was informed by her early career in the United States where she worked in the tech sector in San Francisco and Seattle. Working in the heartland of tech start-ups and innovation cemented her ethos of being strategic and nimble, which she continues to apply today.

Lisa is the Chief Operating Officer of the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute, of which APR.Intern is a division. APR.Intern is the national PhD internship program serving all academic disciplines and industry sectors. Lisa commenced as National Program Manager of APR.Intern and now leads the entire institute. She is excited by the possibilities that arise and the impact that occurs from linking research and industry, which the APR.Intern program does on a daily basis.

Lisa holds a Senior Executive MBA from Melbourne Business School and is a qualified Company Director. She has served on government and not for profit boards at the federal, state and local level.
